Pro Football Player & South African Olympian To Keynote Gay Games Sports Equality Day

Openly gay former NFL linebacker Esera Tuaolo and South African Olympian Leigh-Ann Nadoo will keynote Sports Equality Day, a special one-day sports conference scheduled for Friday, July 14 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm Roosevelt University, 430 S. Michigan, in downtown Chicago. Registration is $25. Information & registration is available online.
In addition to the lunch keynote presentations, three workshops will be led by international experts. The three workshops will focus on 1) youth & sports; 2) the international LGBT sports movement; and 3) educational efforts aimed at reducing barriers to sports among women and the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender) community. Sports Equality Day is jointly presented by Gay Games Chicago, the Federation of Gay Games (FGG) and the Gay & Lesbian Athletics Foundation (GLAF). The Women’s Sports Foundation is a special supporter of the final workshop.

"Thousands of athletes - gay and straight - will be part of the next chapter in global sports history and Gay Games Chicago is pleased to provide an opportunity for a forum to discuss the impact sports has on youth, the LGBT community and the world."

"This forum is much more than an academic event as it will provide valuable networking opportunities for athletes in the Olympic, professional, amateur, collegiate and high school sports communities."
