Photographs by Victor Skrebneski and Steve Becker will be featured in a one-day event in the Chicago Cultural Center's Garland and Washington rooms, as a one-month kick-off event to July's Gay Games in Chicago.

The "Eye on the Champions" Photo Show will be Wednesday, June 14, from 5-8 p.m., 78 E. Washington, and is free to the public. There will be light hors d'oeuvres and beverages. All framing for the event is being provided by Artists' Frame Service. Catering will be provided by The Hearty Boys. There will also be post cards and posters available for purchase, and a silent auction of Gay Games memorabilia.

"Eye on the Champions," presented by Gay Games Chicago, will include photos taken at the recent 100 Champions weekend Gay Games benefit, including of Greg Louganis, Mary Carillo, Matthew Cusick, Esera Tuaolo, Leigh-Ann Naidoo, Dave Kopay, Roy Simmons, Saskia Webber, Randy Duncan, Graham Ackerman, Courtney Yamada, Hearty Boys, Alexandra Billings, Martje Hoekmeijer, Aldo Castillo, Michael Leppen, and Dick Uyvari & Joe La Pat. More than 100 sports, culture, political, corporate and media luminaries were recognized at the Gay Games Chicago 100 Champions Gala held at Soldier Field’s Cadillac Club, April 22-23, 2006.

"We are very excited about this photo show, a one-time opportunity to see legends of sports & culture alongside several of our community leaders photographed by two well-respected photographers," said Tracy Baim, Gay Games Chicago Development Committee Chair. "We are especially honored that Victor Skrebneski, a world-renowned photographer, has taken so much time to dedicate to making Gay Games VII a success, donating his time for this show and a special upcoming exhibit of Chicago gay and lesbian athletes."
