Exhibit Space Now Available
For 2006 Gay Games VII Expo

More than 20,000 expected at Hilton Chicago 14-17 July 2006

"The Gay Game VII Expo is expected to have more than 20,000 attendees," said Tracy Baim, Gay Games Chicago Board Co-Vice Chair. "With guaranteed attendance by thousands of participants and volunteers who will also be required to register at the Hilton Chicago, the Gay Games VII Expo will offer a unique opportunity for businesses and organizations to connect directly with lesbian & gay and gay-friendly consumers and travelers." The Gay Games VII Expo will also be open to the general public.
Participant and volunteer registration will start 14 July 2006 at the Hilton Chicago, which is also the site of the Gay Games VII Media Center. Exhibit opportunities are also available at the sports and ceremony venues throughout the week.
Businesses and agencies will also recruit employees at the Gay Games Expo. The Los Angeles Police Department recently announced that they would sponsor the Gay Games and use the Expo and 8-day long sports and culture festival to help recruit new officers.
The gay and lesbian market has become a prime marketing target in recent years because of expendable income and brand loyalty. Annual research updated this year shows that gays and lesbians in the United States have an estimated purchasing power of more than $641 billion* annually, similar to purchasing power of the Asian-American and African-American populations.
Gay Games VII is expected to have an economic impact to the Chicagoland region of $50 to $80 million with years of additional tourism benefits generated by the high visibility of the event and the 2006 Gay Games’ multi-million dollar marketing campaign.
